Tracy, Owner/Operator of The Toss, has had a passion for food and the restaurant industry since growing up on the Monterey Peninsula, where she worked in several restaurants. Tracy always knew she wanted to do something food related, but wasn't sure in what capacity. For several years, she worked in hospitality sales and traveled nationwide, gathering ideas for what was to become her personal restaurant vision along the way.

Tracy’s concept for The Toss finally materialized after several years of homemaking and motherhood. As a resident of San Carlos, she felt there was a need for a quick, design-your-own, salad-specific eatery in town. Her ideas came to fruition in 2016, when Tracy risked everything to make her dream a reality.

It's Never Too Late to Be What You Might've Been

Her personal philosophy, "It's never too late to be what you might have been," radiates through her entire story, and her passion is evident to anyone who walks into The Toss. Tracy’s energy and enthusiasm for offering guests a personalized experience shows in every aspect of her work. She wants her guests to feel at home, feel recognized, feel appreciated, and receive the freshest seasonal produce possible.
